Make Up Forever Smashbox

experimental test on Poverty (Part Four)

I know, I know, it was very, very long. First, the work, then a nasty bronchitis, and then an indescribable who robbed me of any desire to write (my next post will talk more fully). I still had to go through with this test. He may still leave something good. And I finally slept all of my thoughts on the matter.

The military-industrial poverty.

Industry

poverty Poverty is the battleground of the military industrial complex of poverty. On the one hand, the industry of poverty, ie the charities and their donors, meaning many people and especially businesses. Their goal, feel good while obscuring any real possibility of eliminating what they need, ie a mass of poor (about 15% of a given population) for applying a continuous downward pressure on wages and working conditions. The industry of poverty, as the industry "at large", has many resources and much media exposure. She continues to believe that the mass poor are by choice, without regard to the physiological principles that I mentioned in my previous posts.

Armies of poverty

On the other hand, the military complex of poverty: agencies advocacy. They also hold information and want to radiate, but as the left, in their way. Exit the stars and are the poor themselves who must break free. Exit the glamorous, the truth must be served raw. Exit the idea of going to gather a critical mass of poor people to hit the collective consciousness, we are fighting in dribs and drabs and always in response to new policies. It speaks its own language rather than the mass. And it is leading the fight in the same way forty years ago, despite the accumulation of defeats and setbacks.

It must be said that both sides of the military-industrial poverty, there are tons of people who become poor if there was more poverty. And tons of people who digest their dinner before the evil reality.

And the poor themselves?

Meanwhile, the poor live literally at the gates of hell. 1 year and a half out of the top FCPASQ and 6 months in their daily Hochelaga rub me, first gave my first white hair, then made aware that the reality behind the statistics, already bleak, would could drive me crazy as it was an inhuman intensity.

Every day, our governments inflict or allow our own citizens to suffer the tortures physical and psychological make if you fall short of financial resources, you only have a few months before beginning to suffer from mental disorders and diseases that you do not even know existed. Our poor are not fat cats. Certainly, there a. But I assure you on my mind that the percentage of wealthy who use tax schemes to cram a lot is higher than welfare recipients who are robbing the government. And God knows that in one case, do constitute a situation of life or death. And one of the two groups grows with nearly a quarter (or more) of the overall budget of the Quebec state. Yet when we talk to legislate, which group is the one scoop?

poverty leads to disease. The disease is costly to the state. Lack of training is also expensive. But as some people must think, if we let the poor die sooner or later they will Pogner something that will infect us. Then we did the minimum. It clogs up the health system but there are a thousand other reasons that the system is sick, for fear of triggering mass hysteria against the poor against the rich or themselves. When we need public money, they say "tighten the screws", it reassures the public but it kills people.

Many of you will surely give time, money or food baskets for Christmas or the Breakfast Club in the coming weeks. Maybe you do regularly. I am not telling you not to do so, as I could a few years ago. Just so you know this: when you do, the State withdrew a little more immediate assistance to the poor. Certainly, there will be immediate relief from hunger, loneliness, but the following year will be tougher. Then that charity is the most good?

In closing, enjoy:

I FELL SU'L BS!
based on a game created by the Collective for a Poverty-Free

You fall on welfare, then, like that in the situation where you are. They give you $ 550 the first month and you have the right to earn $ 200 in your month. There are more job in your field and your pantry is empty (I'll leave the condiments), no margin or credit card. You're a real poor.

Post me a comment in which you give me, broadly-speaking, your daily budget on the following model.

1st: $ 400 rent, hydro $ 75, $ 30 groceries ($ 505) remains $ 50
2: $ 25 phone is $ 25

and so on.

See how many days with your current obligations, you could survive.

suite, possibly ...
