What's A Raw Cervix Mean

experimental test on poverty (second part)

Written on the sign: I need a miracle.

First Floor: The bottom of the barrel

To put you in context before discussing the first level of the pyramid, I would like to introduce an important element: the perception of poor people and their motivation, the other hand, I want to clarify that this is not an essay on how to pity. I have absolutely no intention to complain, since I take regularly at some risk, and that I'm doing all the time, as is already the case. This is not a reality for everyone. And the purpose of this whole issue is to dismantle the myths, expose the myths makers and propose a more optimized path through which the evolution of a society a bit smarter. Because too many people suffer (and not just the poor) for nothing, and that, that I seriously kid.

The arguments of critics of the increase in social assistance, loans and scholarships or any State aid to survival, based on an element: motivation to work. Government agencies in employability through the employers, not to mention the ADQ, everyone seems convinced of one thing: any increase in thresholds help generate income, by the lack of motivation "providers" , a phenomenon retention, meaning that people would hang .

But I have one day, as part of a trial against the government on an issue of welfare very interesting (the accounting of child support as income), discuss this issue with a senior Ministry of employment and social solidarity. He had told the court that (freely) "we tend to believe that exempting alimony for purposes of calculating income from a parent create a phenomenon of retention for welfare .

Rewind ... " One would think that . When we speak, there are geniuses who base policy made worse survival of our society with " we tend to believe that . The third largest department of the Government, with over 5,000 employees who cost us a buttery, bases its operation on presumptions could not be more stupid. As stupid as to believe that man is superior to woman, something that seems indisputable among us today, so that 50 years ago ...

What would Abraham Maslow of these geniuses of common sense?

First floor: The physiological needs

Said needs of our body:

Eating, drinking, temperature at 37.2 degrees C., breathe, excrete ...
Maslow, if one of these needs is not met, the need dominates the consciousness of the subject until satisfied. If there is gratification of all physical needs, awareness goes to stage two.

Can we ask someone who is hungry, cold, feel like shit, to be motivated to anything else until these needs are not met?

No.

you seeing when you lack sleep when you have not eaten all day, when you freeze at the bus stop. I do not know of people who manage to remain competent and / or good company (ahem, yes, pourdre ) in a physiological craving. I met hundreds of people during my brief career as a political aide who were literally crushed at this level, and the conclusion is undeniable: The idea that a human being in a state of survival will be motivated to get ahead in life seems drawn from the creationist theory.
